Different engine blocks??

I am looking into buying a engine block to start a motor re-build the one I am looking at has IF Stamped onto the side of it, is there other blocks? I believe mine is an HF can anyone help me on this if there are 2 different ones, which is the best one and will an IF motor fit in my jeep that came with the "other" block type example....will the IF motor fit in my jeep that came with the HF motor? any help would be great....
