I know it's a Grand Cherokee - Not a Cherokee - Yet I thought it's still an XJ since it's a 2000?

I have a 92 and 99.

You are irritated that he charged to for the work that included chasing the wiring and replacing melted wiring on top of the CPS. You could have changed the CPS for parts and 15 min.

Oh and you posted this in the XJ forum when its not an XJ, but rather a WJ..

Yup full of fail.

Can you please explain how I could have changed the CPS for parts and 15 min?

I said they were. He does get a legal RX for them. He blows through them because he just got engaged. Also, he can't GET HARD because he's - well - replaced. I didn't know.

This is.... I was just asking if this was a good price.

CPS is just on top of the bell housing, 2 bolts. Disconnect, sit near drivers tire and walk your hand up to it, unscrew, remove, replace, reconnect.

I have done several.

Its a WJ not an XJ. A grand is a grand. An XJ is a cherokee, not a grand.

So do you feel as if $607 was a fair price? The memo section I didn't understand. He put in a fuse to stop future ECM damage? Etc etc.

You gave them to him illegally, period. You can only take so many in a 24 hour period other wise the risk is increased for cardiac related issues.

And the fact that you know so much about his 'problem' is rather disturbing.

CHECK FUEL PRESSURE AND IGNITION SYSTEMS.
SCAN ECM. DIAGNOSE BAD CRANK SENSOR.
LOCATE MELTED WIRING TO CAVITY C-1 OF ECM HARNESS.
CHECK ALL SENSORS RELATED TO THAT CIRCUIT
DISASSEMBLE HARNESS, REPLACE DAMANGED WIRING, REPLACE CKP CENSOR due to INTERNAL SHORT.
CHARGE BATTERY.
ROAD TEST.
CLEAR CODES.
INSTALL FUSEABLE LINK TO PREVENT FUTURE DAMAGE TO ECM.

He did more than change the CPS. Including chasing wiring, located melted wiring and replacing. Most of his work/ costs were for labor. Which is consistent with his charges. I know mechanics that charge way more. If it isnt something that you were able to or willing to complete, then you run the risk of these charges unfortunately.

I wasnt, he asked me the questions (quoted directly to me), not trolling at all. I simply answered them.

As far as your other statement, then he shouldnt have shared it on a public forum.

You gave great answers when you were actually answering the questions I was more of referring to his/their pill/bad decision posts. They're both aware it's illegal and a bad decision I'm sure, I doubt they need us to tell them. Although I agree that he shouldn't of posted that part I still think we shouldn't criticize him on it.

Forget it if y'all don't have anything better to do then to criticize someone else's lifestyle and/or poor decisions then y'all probably need to talk down on someone to make y'all feel good about yourselves. If your self esteem is so low that you feel the need to talk down on others over the internet as so then maybe he's not the only that has personal problems.

You're the one that trades RXs for labor then complains about it.
