Got distracted, found the steel for my battery box risers and started cutting. I may be getting the pieces welded together today. Then, on to the bracket to hold the pcm out of the way of the second battery.

The rockers on the ZJ are done so now I can focus on the dual battery setup in the XJ. The pcm needed to be relocated, so I built a bracket out of dp. It attaches to the rear stud that held the airbox down. Now, on to the battery box risers.

I got a dp truck box and can't make up my mind what to do with it. It is the only box I've got that's big enough to hold all my spare Jeep parts, with room to spare.

I've manged to get my sons motorcycle working again. I got it painted to match the Jeep, by my sons request. But I've also aquired the platform hitch to allow transport with the XJ, and a ramp to simplify 1 person loading.

My neighbor yelled across the street the other day, "Hey, want these Jeep rims?" Without thinking I said yes. It's a set of stock WJ 16" alloys. I had them for 24 hrs and decided agaiinst it. I like the rims but not the stock bs'ing or the fact that they're 16's. Oh well, guess I'll have to just get by with set of 5 XJ alloys sitting in my shed.

I think I could handle that. I'll get a pic here in a few...I now have 2 recovery vehicles painted to match, the bike and the motorcycle.

I also made a deal yesterday to buy a '90 XJ 4x4 4.0 auto /266k on the clock,, $700. Runs great, and just enough body damage to be willing to trim some things, like cut and fold rear quarters.

This next tax season will be fun. The Subaru is getting fixed for one 16 year old and the black XJ is for the other 16 year old. Oh joy, accidents!

It's comin' man! I gotta get time to get the flares, emblems, and door locks off to do the stripe around the middle. Then it's getting dp armor in black over the stripe.

Come for a ride
And look through my eyes
Likely things you would see
Leave a feeling of surprise
My view of the world
Echoing in my head
With all the **** that I endure
Having time has already been said
Each one of my insanities
Never learned to wait their turn
Yielding to my pain and strife
Opens up a new concern
Untruthful thoughts torture me
Disturbed by such a fake smile
Invalid to the rest of the world
Exiled here for a while

I really need to do something interesting with the XJ. I've got a couple things on hand for mods, just no time. A pile of recyclables will pay for the sheet of dp I need for the armor. I was trying to get the stripe done during the summer months, but I kinda missed my window of opportunity.
