I think you are mistaking my bumper endcaps for body armor. But I think you have a good plan. The dp would look really good with the yellow

Thanks bud
I got lucky, the rig this guy had was extremely parted out...and wrecked, but the tail lights are flawless. The tabs got busted cuz he got mad trying to get to the bolt behind the bumper and 2 others are cracked. I have been debating possibly molding dp around the black part of the casing to recreate the tabs.

I finally got a visor, WOO HOO! That is the #1 mod I've wanted ever since the day I bought this XJ. I also have a friend of mine with a body shop that's gonna paint it for me. It's gonna get some dp accents too

It kind of sucks with the timing of this find. My birthday is today and my wife has written off getting me a gift due to the purchase of the visor.

Another recap: I've got the dp pieces done for the door handles, but I don't think I'm going to trust a proper cure with as cold as it is outside. For this same reason the black stripe project has been pushed back too.

I'll be running by UPS to see if my visor is here today. It's gonna drive me crazy to wait till this afternoon. The work I do on it may just be my job application at a body shop.

I hate waiting on the delivery people! I have some stuff coming in for lifting and I cant wait! Im not that small guy back in Helena. Im hopping to save enough money to take a trip to Helena soon maybe ones the snow melts and the trails dry up a tad. You will have to show me around ill give you a week to convince me to move back. That would be nice to have a build buddy again hell we never did build or fix anything did we? Im waiting for that pic of your visor thats going to make it 2x as mean.

It's here! Now for the ultimate decision. Should I trust that my buddy at the body shop can match the paint. Or paint it with the aluminum epoxy that I used on the diffs. Do you think it'd look cool if the visor appeared to be made of aluminum?

I guess since the paint job is free, I'll let him paint it. Then I'll get creative accenting it with diamond plate. At the moment I've been working on plating the black part of my tail lights

Almost done. Just a couple spots to file down and they're going on tomorrow.

I see now that it was foolish of me to think I'd be getting any work done yesterday. But it gave me a chance to do some needed trimming and adjusting before installing these cover plates. I should have pics later today.

Finally got the chance to do the riveting in the living room last night. I'll take some pics when I mount them here in a few, which has to happen before I leave the house.
I'm still waiting on the visor till Friday.
