I don't go to court till 3:30 mtn time. The plan is to boost the front up to level and get 32's. If I do a 2" spacer and a winch, I'll be about level.

Not enough info handy for a quick yes/no answer.
The weight of a winch alone wouldn't compress stock coils much. The weight of a winch and heavy duty bumper to support it could though. If it were me, I'd get a pretty good idea how much total weight you're thinking about adding, and then I'd carefully put an equivalent on the front of the XJ and measure the result.
Springs are rated in lbs per inch of compression but keep in mind you'll have two springs sharing the load. There's some good info here. Spring rates

Good luck in court, more XJ funds are always good!

I only want 1 more inch of lift. I figured since a winch is in the plans, I'd compensate ahead of time and do 2" spacers. Thanks for the idea though, I'll try that.

I'm hoping tax season will be his opportunity to pay it off. I may have enough to bump up to 32's.
Frame stiffeners (welding done free on a trade)
Brown Dog motor mounts
Back window
Chrome rear bumper...or maybe ORF rear tube bumper.
Depending on what's left over, I may do the ORF front also
Winch
$$$ for my rock rail project
And a 4'x8' sheet of 1/8" aluminum dp for armor.

I already have the chrome bumpers. But I think I got my fill of the bling. I'd say it's time to do the ORF combo, what do you say?
The only thing is I love the way my front bumper mod turned out. Perhaps I'll save my modded bumpers for one of my kids XJ's.

Can you send a current pic of your rig. I'm tossing around armor options. Also, are you on 31's or 32's?

Nevermind, I saw your list, sorry. I'm just trying to get some visual references as to the placement of the armor now.

I moved the roof rack forward about 7". This put the front crossbeam at the pillar behind the doors. Perhaps this will help with the feel of the tire being up there.

Sweet! Thanks bud. I'm looking to do armor in dp (black), on the quarter, door, and fender. Door and fender may be kept below the body line to miss the door handles. The dp around the hatch will fix my breakage.

Found a back window for $75. It'll be here Thursday. I'm so use to not having any visibility, I might just limo tint it
