You may have to change the piece of pipe you intend to use.

Took my rear bumper off today, got it all cleaned up planning to get it all done tomorrow. Ya, right, then my dad calls me for work ... tomorrow.
I also found one of those rear cowl hoods. I'm trying to get the owner to sell it.

I may have permanent access to a welder, and I found a cheap tire carrier plan so I may just make this a learning project.

One basic idea: build an extension plate to mount to your license plate holes. Use a flat piece of plate on the inside to sandwich it all for strength. Mount your plate to the tire.

Thanks bud. I've been surprising my uncle too. I've talked about doing this for a long time, but everyone thought I waited cuz I couldn't do it myself.Wait until the end of today, I'll have the whole thing done hopefully.

And then how do I keep my hatch open?

I've been pondering all night, lights... I have a single fog light that still works. It's a small oval, about 2"x4", I was gonna mount on my back roof rack rail, upside down, facing the back and wired into my back-up lights.
So, what is there to ponder? Would the lighting be more effective if it were mounted in the bumper?

I stayed home yesterday to refab the old entertainment center into a vanity for my wife. Today I'm going up to the shop to finish my bumper. I should have pics by the end of the day.

I got the end caps DONE! But I forgot to get more rivets, so they're going on today.
My answer to everyones first question: Why rivets? Cuz I live in a trailer park with a bunch of white trash kids that can't leave things alone.
