Hey thats a great idea Thanks
I spoke with Mark @ Detours today and he said he's developed an "L" plate to go along with the "tailbone". Maybe that will help the guys running bigger tires.

I think the fact that it looks factory may be why I dont get hassled.

X2 I did the same on my rig! I'm running 35's and haven't been bothered by any cops at all.

Yeah, I'd love to, but I just can't justify that price when I can get the tire carrier $300 cheaper. I'll probably just do the cut and fold on the lower rear quarter, then take the cutting wheel to the stock bumper ends to make it look a little better.

I've got an '01 with a factory hitch, and it required a little more modification than just the nutsert.
First: here is one of the nutserts for the Hitch as it came off the jeep:
...and here is how I cut it up to fit the Detours nutsert section. I use both "ends" and replaced the middle cut section with the supplied Detours part:
But that was not the only problem. Although the nutsert plate bolt pattern perfectly matched the Detours replacement area, the factory hitch not only didn't use one of the nuts, but it didn't have a mounting hole for the forward most one (on the Detours nutsert):
...so a little drilling later and I had a mounting hole in my factory trailer hitch:
...and that was day 1. I hope today (day 2) i get beyond instruction #2 .
(Edit: The Detours nutsert in those last two photos is there for reference, it happens to be backwards in both of them FYI).
