Got my new battery cables in today. MUCH thicker and no more questionable contacts.

I also got the rear pass door actuator changed out.

Now I'm investigating a new stereo (want a USB input for my iphone) and an alarm. Also need to go ahead and bite the bullet on the OME suspension I guess...

2 Gauge? Do you think 4Gauge would suffice?

Probably but after reading thisI figured I may as well prepare for a higher amp alternator and a mean green starter ...

Looks like a decent price on that Kenwood. Thanks for the link.

No surprise here .... looks like my windows are starting to only work form the driverside control panel.

Found this for a quick fix and will try it next weekend:

It's nice to have so many other XJ owners out there I can learn from.

I fixed my son's window switch on his Ram, by re-soldering the cracked solder joints on the circuit board. It was a pretty easy job.

That's the truth!
If it wasn't for this forum, I'm not sure I would be keeping my XJ. Too much to do all alone.

Not yet.

Since there are always bugs to work out, I'm waiting till we get done with our Thanksgiving trip back to New Orleans.

That way I can iron out all the bugs and such "in town".
... cause I know there will be bugs. There always are.
