Dakota or ram steering box

My cousin just got a sweet 89xj with a smoked steering box. I heard a Dakota or ram box works. Can anyone shed some light on this.

Yes pretty much. I run the Dakota box. Love it. Lost a tiny bit of turn radius but nit enough to complain

What's the advantage to running it?

Its way beefier. The shaft is like 1/4 larger diameter. It holds more pressure which in turns makes steering larger tires easier.
Have you upgraded your tie rod yet?
