Just did lol. Pretty pumped about getting some extra droop out back. Was ride quality noticeably better like everyone says?

Excellent. Ever since I been spending all my free time on the trails and creek behind the house Ive really noticed how much the *** end needed some attention. The rockier portions of the creek bed beat the piss out of me. Im hoping these really make the rear setup shine.

Thanks! If you have a full face shield, use it or you and your grinder will likely have a new type of relationship lol

Random question about the install. I dont have nutstrips, I am going to redo my bumper mounts to tie into the rail on the inside and just weld nuts inside there to use. I dont have that done yet though, and with some chilly weather ahead and no garage who knows when Ill get to it. That said Id considered just mounting the brackets with the original shackle bolts and bolts through the floor, then just weld the bottom of the bracket straight to the rail.

Any thoughts on this? I cant imagine ever wanting to remove these things, and since Im cutting the factory shackle box off I dont really have the option to go to stock anyway. Once I get bumper tie-ins done Ill be bolting it down to the 3 additional holes as well.

I don't see why that would be a problem. Like you said, once the old shackle mounts are cut off, the damage is done. I would definitely run some small beads on the bottom at least, until you can finish up your bumper mounts. I still want to build a bumper like yours lol

Thats probably what Ill end up doing then. Really I dont know why I even second guessed it considering how puny looking the factory setup is. Its like Jeep made the shackle box from leftover door skin sheetmetal haha.

Haha I love how my bumper turned out but I definitely need to get on the ball with redoing the mounts. My recovery shackle is just an ornament right now haha. I have enjoyed the extra clearance and corner protection though, woulda lost a tail light by now without it.

Had some heat issues lately. Yes the filthy Florida 60 degrees is too much lol. I flushed out the heater core with a hose and pure filth came out. I didn't get a picture but I stole one from Vegasgt's build, looked identical lol
