alright. before I get started id like to give a huge thanks to weeder1 for all of his help he gave today. He actually welded most of it so thanks again bud.

We started the morning with frame stiffeners. we got them done very quickly and had no problems. H.D. offroad has a very good product, and even better turn around. I would recommend them to anyone. Josh welded the first stiffener, and while he got started on the second, I went ahead and cut out the rockers.

We finished up the stiffeners pretty quickly and moved onto the sliders. I chose to go with 2x6x3/16 square tubing. We started with some inch1/2 angle that was plug and stich welded to the body.(sorry I forgot to get a picture of it.) Next we cut and capped the 2x6. Weeder came up with the idea of cutting a 45 degree angle off the front and I went with it because it was different. I really liked the end result.

We spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out how we would tie the sliders to the frame, and getting the angles right. After some trial and error, we came up with 2 braces that we cut from some leftover 2x6. If I need to later I will add another brace to each side

So that's it! im very happy with the outcome. Jeep feels stiffer riding down the road so I guess that's a plus. On the first we're going on a trip so ill be able to get a better idea how it does offroad then.
few more pics of the finished product

I have a few updates on my build. kind of outdated but still updates!
I Got a good deal on a new bumper, I didn't want to get rid of my jcr, but I wanted a stinger and this guy offered me deal that I jumped on. I posted my jcr up for sale and weeder had found a buyer by that afternoon so I ordered my P.O.S Fab bumper and its been on for about 3 weeks now

OH and I hooked my hellas back up. I was missing them for a little while.

Also, my throw out bearing went out, AGAIN.... I decided that I wouldn't put another one in it considering this has been the 4th one to go out in the last 2 years. I opted to swap to an external slave cylinder since I had most of the parts already. For the plumbing of the 99 slave cylinder to my 92 master cylinder, I didn't want to go back to the nylon hydraulic line because I've had one crack before. I called advance adapters and they gave me a part number for a stainless steel braided line and fittings they have for a TJ but it would work on an xj. 716130TJH is the part number in case anybody wants to know. Its a little expensive and I probably could have just bought the fittings and had something made locally for cheaper, but oh well. I did however have to "modify" my master cylinder a small bit by drilling out where the brass fitting sits in to make it fit right. I was told that this can be avoided by going to a 93-96 master cylinder, but I chose to modify since I already had so much into the braided line. It came out great though. I would recommend anyone to go to the external slave if they're still running their internal throw out bearing in their early model xjs. My clutch feels like an entirely different animal now. It actually has pressure! Here is the line

I think that's all I have to update for now. Looking into getting some 35's around September so we'll see how it goes

Plan is to do stiffeners, 2x6 rockers, trans cooler and ideally rework the suspension setup up front. That will either come in the form of staying short arm and running MetalCloak Duroflex adj CA's, or build a midarm 3 link setup. Basically just try to overbuild it on 32s so that when I go to 35s Ill have a lot of potential weakness nipped in the bud.

Id like to have this all done and on 35s by next years wheeling season. Im also gonna be working on building a nice garage over here in spring, so that will play a big factor in funding all this. :/

I got a bit more motivation now after seeing them on your rig, love it man.
