i did some really easy wheeling last night. we went out for about 8 hours last night and my jeep actually really made me proud. although it was very easy wheeling, my xj was the only vehicle that diddnt either get stuck or beak down. my little xj just crept through everything and it got alot of compliments last night, so i am very happy with the outcome.
now since i got to do some riding last night i now know what i need to do to my xj. my front suspension did great. great articulation, and really just ate every bump. rear, not so much. i definetly need to get some relocation brackets back there so i can get some movement back there. i want to switch my RC disconects to some jks, the RC ones suck and im over it. also i would like to upgrade my steering at some point. not that i had problems with my steering, but i would like something more tighter and HD just for piece of mind. so these things will get done soon enough im also going to try and squeeze some bumpers in there while im at it so im hopefull this build will get moving now that the 4x4 is done and i can wheel and figure out what i need.

How big was the stratch on the crank? Was it a little surface scratch? Or would your finger nail get caught on it when you run it across? I was told by a bearing manufactuer, that if your finger nail catches on the scratch, its shot. If it doesnt, its going to be OK.

i was able to put a pretty good scratch in it. i never tried to scratch it but im certain my nail would have caught on it. its amazing that a little scratch like that will cause oil to pump out out of the back of your motor like that

Well i wanted to do something to the jeep today but money has been tight. So i trimmed my front fenders a little more and cut a little off my bumper

A little better approach angle until i get my new front bumper
