Cb issue

Ok guys I have a bit of a problem. I just installed a cobra ultra 19 series 3 cb new coax and 4" antenna. Ok I have an issue with noise. I had it ran straight to my battery and got some noise so I tried to just ground it straight to my fuse box and now I'm getting noise from my power windows. I don't want to wife it to my cigarette lighter bc I'm afraid that it will interfere with my radio. Idk what to do guys I want rid of the noise lol can anyone help

+&- straight to the battery is the best way to get no interference. Adjust the squelch to the edge of the static, not the edge of the silence. Did you ground the antenna mount? And did you mount the antenna to the mount properly?

I bolted my mount straight to the body. .
I ran it to the battery once and I still had a lot of static. I think my biggest issue it that my radio doesn't have rf gain my 19 is the series 3. I need a better radio I do believe

So do I need to run a wire from the mount or antenna? And can I use 18 gauge wire for ground? Or do I need bigger and as for my location where could I put a ground from there??

Run it right around the back of the rig, over the taillight. The hatch will cover any unwanted visibility of it.
My ground is the red 8 guage wire.

You can see the self-tapping screw at the end about halfway down beside the light.

Hey S8NNG8 man I grounded the mount just yesterday and there wasn't any change in the static? Think maybe it needs tuned now?

Absolutely! It needed to be tuned since day 1. I thought you'd done that.

Well the antenna I bought was suppose to be pre tuned lol. Plus I heard that my radio doesn't have rf gain so that makes it hard to get a clear sound

Pretuned? Not true. Variables in distance from the ground plane makes it almost impossible to be true. It needs to be tuned to where you mounted it.
And any cb without a squelch dial is gonna have a Fisher Price logo on it somewhere.

Well it has a squelch dail but not an rf gain dail. Now the cobra 19 dx vi does but not the 19 series 3. I don't get y bc it's the same radio just one has rf gain and the other doesn't lol weird

Rf gain isnt gonna tune the antenna. It needs to be precisely shortened or lengthened to get the SWR as close to 1-1 as possible. You're gonna need a swr meter, found online from many sources for $20. Good videos on Youtube for tuning process. Also some threads here if you'd rather read the process.
