to buy or not to buy

4.0 H.O motor is shot. manual trans. was looking for auto. been sitting for 2 years, needs to pass inspection, breaks are questionable. $300.00 neg.

$300 two door. Buy it immediately if the unibody is in good shape. Everything else can be fixed. If it was local I'd jump on it in a heart beat.

If the motor is shot and needs to be replaced and you want auto instead of manual it seems to me like it's a good time to switch both. Cheap and not a hell of a lot to it.

Looks to have the setup of a 91-93ish. Steering wheel apears to be of non airbag variety (94 back) but i think i see a high output badge out back (91+).

I'm guessing 1993 based on the 4X4 decals on the back. 1992 still had the chrome emblems. There is rust showing at the right rear wheel well where the fender flare meets the body, so expect to replace floor pans. If the '95 Country I picked up this week ($400) was a two door, I'd be fixing floor pans and keeping it. Instead it will be parts for another project.

Nice find for $300.

You suck why can't I ever find jeeps like that, I wanted another 2dr instead I'm stuck with a 4dr

90 - xj laredo- 4.5" rough country lift, 6.5" of total lift with drop brackets, zj disc brakes on c8.25, olympic winch bumper, jcr upper and lower quarter armor, IRO hack-n-tap and rock sliders and rear bumper. rugged ridge 8500lb winch. Spartan locker up front. With a jd yellow paint job, 97+ front end and bushwacker cut out flares. 35's

decide if you need a boat anchor
