Busted frame side track bar bolt.

so, I think im pretty well ****ed as far as getting this done tonight goes, but I NEED to get it done ASAP.

Went to install the new adj track bar, so I could center the front axle and un**** my steering.

Axle side bolt came out no problem.

Went to the frame side, pulled the cotter pin, unscrewed the castle nut, put the pickle fork on the base to pull it out, and SNAP.

The stud is now stuck in the bracket, and ive tried everything short of drilling it out (my drill took a **** a while back and never got around to replacing it)

Broke two c-clamps, went through a full can of mapp, two cans of PB, and broke a cold chisel. Didnt budge.

So, anyone have any ideas that dont involve a drill or cutting torch, so I can go to work tomorrow?

What I ended up doing was taking the mount off and using a vice forcing it out. It was a real pain in the *** but worked for me.

I just saw this. Was gonna say pull the bracket and use a vice or press or bfh.

Wound up buying a drill, pulling it off and spinning a new hole.

Granted, its not precise, but it got me to work.

Now since i'll probably still need a new one, double shear it is.

Iron Rock Offroad makes a very stout, well priced double shear trackbar w. upgraded bracket.

4th season of wheeling regularly with not issues at all.

The iro is a very good one.
The rough country one sucks outright.
Rustys is a good one.

I second/third the iro double sheer. Also call and give them your jeep forum ID for a discount.
