Bump Stops
I just put a RE 2"BB on my 98 Cherokee when i was running 215/75/15. Last weekend I went to Discount Tire and got a pair of 15x8 wheels with an offset and some 31" BFG a/t's. I love them and the ride is perfect, but on any bump i don't crawl over the tires hit the wheel well. How much more bumpstop do i need to add?

Jack one side of the axle up till the tire is about to hit the fender, then measure the distance between the bumpstop and pad. That is how much you need.

Similar to what xjfever said some measuring and experimentation is probably going to be what it takes. Most slip hockey pucks in between the coils to sit on top of the bump-stop pad to make up the difference.

How would you secure the hockey puck? I don't want to take a chance of it working its way out on the highway.

Some have success with Liquid Nails or an epoxy. Others drill a hole through the puck and the mount and bolt it in place.

Yep, you can drill and tap the bumpstop pad, then drill the hockey pucks, and countersink the top hole for the bolt head.
