In other news I worked 12hrs yesterday then worked 4.5 in the shop on my pass side taillight box. Both are painted and ready to go on though.
Should have them fully installed and wired up tonight.
I would have probably beat him to death with the torch. But maybe its rebuildable.

Bought a tow pig

Specs:91 5.9 non-ic Cummins turbo diesel, 3200 gov spring, rebuilt pump with a little smoke screw turn, pyro, boost and tac gauges, trailer brake and rust. In this picture we hooked it up to the heaviest trailer we had. It Weighs in at 11, 000 lbs. Towed it just fine. Looking forward to miobi wheeling trip this weekend.
Any ideas on some upgrades for this bad boy?

Floor pan, drivers side rocker and drivers fender are all getting new replacements. Since the jeep is now a trail rig I might just run the axles as is until I get the coin for upgrades. Just getting ring and pinion f/r for now.

Made a 2 hour trip last night with roughly 8, 000 lbs. Girlfriends fuel pump went out. Truck did awesome.
Boss gave me a 2 raises yesterday so that's a plus. I spend most of my working days 120ft+ up. Like this

Seems to be a common trend with 242s recently.

It lasted a couple hard wheeling trips so I cannot complain. Just sucks that I missed out on a whole day of wheeling

How did you destroy a 242? I broke chunks off of the one in my old ZJ and it never leaked or gave me a problem. Why not go to a D300?

If you busted a 242 you wouldve busted a 231. They're more or less the same strength

Completely stock, and keeping it that way...

That's why I'm building a hd 231. Wider chain, 6 planetary gears and a big shaft. Not real familiar with the 300.
