Well wouldn't you? Put 400$ into axle that won't work stand up to 37" or dump 400$ into the hp44?

Well DUH. But you still have Dana 30 sized U joints, which takes nothing to break.

This 44 will receive chromos. It's the weak a** housing and tubes on a 30 that are the problem, Not to mention pinion size when running deeper gears.

Chromos don't make u-joints stronger. Being able to run deepers gears and ring and pinion strength is your biggest advantage.

I have never seen a ujoint fail on a d30 on 35's. 297S are pretty strong. Now stop pushing me to a 60 front

LAWL, but the funny thing is I have had them fail and that's all I've ever seen fail. Once it fails, the shaft ear usually eats itself up. BUT, 44 should be fine. Not trying to knock ya, but 30's will take more than people think. Even in stock form.

My jeep buds run 30's on 35's with only occasional carnage. I will 100% agree with the 30 being a pretty stout axle....I just love fullwidths

Here's damage from Saturday. I need to get all wheeling pictures up.

No major damage so it was a pretty good time. Hauled the 44 to my house for disassembly. Out of the six trailers we have, this is the only one my jeep could pull.
