looks like i found a T-case leak.. Not sure yet

Go ahead and rip it off. There's just double sided tape behind it. Kind of PITA to get all the glue, but very doable.

oil leak? All I see is dirt man. My '90 XJ had so much oil on the T-Case that it didn't even look silver anymore. It was more brownish-black. Nice XJ and i'm thinking about painting my front plastic parts also. The glue for the trim is kind of a pain, but its really worth it and I'm so glad I did. People compliment on how clean and straight my body panels are because it looks better without them.

hahah no trust me its leaking oil. not alot but enough to worry me... and i think me rear axle is leaking a little also. think i might be changing that 2moro.

alright well i just got back from 2 weeks of backpacking in New Mexico. hiked for 10 days on the trail and went 100 miles. anyway, i came home to find my lift sitting in my garage! since i dont have the shocks yet and my cragars. my plan is to install everything labor day weekend because i will have all the parts by then. oh and i bought a hula doll for my dash

If you are leaking fluid around the speedometer gear housing all you need is a new o-ring. Just remove the one bolt and the little clip the bolt goes through and pull the housing out. There is a o-ring that goes around it right where it goes into the t-case, replace that o-ring and stick it back in, put the clamp on and put the bolt through it. No more leak.

hey i posted that post haha. I like the front skid, im slightly partial to the "angry eyes". i have seen them on TJ's not XJ's so im not sure yet.
