Ah, Hooligan. I see those being a waste of money. Bushwackers are cheaper than $400 for all 4 corners while those run $700-$800 for the front and back. They are made good but you can make the same for half that price. Jeep tubes sell pre bent tubes for flares.

Just my 2 cents about Hooligan flares.

Well with the ORFab quarter panels I have to do custom flares no matter what for the rear. Which will probably just be tacking on tubes to the quarter panel armor.

Guy with a 5.9 said he'd trade me his niner for my XJ, haven't heard from him since.

Not sure how I feel about this.

DON'T DO IT.

I like 5.9s, but they are half the solid reliable vehicle your XJ now is, especially with the rebuilt motor. Keep your XJ, you will be glad you did. There is a reason he wants to trade.

Maybe I should just re-gear and quit crying about loss of power.

e: If it makes you feel better he apparently changed his mind, why he wouldn't just text me that and tell me instead of ducking my texts, whatever.

I'll keep my nice rebuilt XJ.

regearing will definitely make a difference in power. A tire carrier would be sweet.

Both are about the same in price, depends on which benefit I want first, storage room back or power back (it's not bad with 33s and 3.55s).

Right? That's where I'm stuck too.. But it's flares/33's, lockers, bumpers..

I know when I regeared mine, it made me a happy camper. Makes it a lot more fun to drive.
