Looks like i'm still goin with a 8.8, the pinion bearings are screaming in the 8.25 and i need brakes as well.. Figure might as well get a new axle with disk brakes, 4.10s, and limited slip for less than a rebuild kit and locker...

Then you'll have no 4x4 until you re-gear the front though.

Hows the power of the 4.7 vs your 4.0? Might be fixing the 8.25 this weekend and doing brakes so i can get her ready to wheel by july

It's a noticeable jump, you should probably be running 93 octane to keep a stroker motor happy.

If done properly, you're looking at about 265 hp and 290 lb torque

Sweet i usually run mid grade anyways since i run it hard haha, hopefully by fall i'll be done building it. Just gotta find a reasonable machine shop

Eventually, dont have the extra funds right now.. I'd imagine its a good bit more than new drums, shoes, and hardware?
