there are lots of people in illinois with xj's so dont be naive. Craigslist the area ive found plenty cherokee's parting out in illinois...

Can't you just bolt an earlier bumper on anyways?
But since it's been said, get a 2x4 and bolt it on. Failing bolts, use some bailing wire. It'll work better than the stock ones.

I have a black factory piece sitting in the rafters of my garage... Or at least I'm pretty darn sure it still is as that would have been hidden up there 10 years ago. If you're in the Chicagoland area (I'm in the western burbs. I don't have the end caps, just the steel part.
