Black Mesa (The Gordan Freeman paint job)

Well it's June and it finnaly got warm enough to paint. It's still been frosting some nights here in northern Michigan.

I wanted to paint the jeep desert tan, and I wanted a sort of military look without using any actual military insignia. So I decided to use one of my favorite games, Half Life/Half Life 2, in the paint scheme. If you get the reference, sweet. If not, well it still looks cool.

Now I just need to build a roof rack and mount a crowbar to it.

Make sure you get a good crowbar that looks like the half life one. Red handle, sliver/gray pry ends. Your black mesa reaserch facility thing on the pasenger side is kinda off. Sweet ride though, it looks great, love that game.

Not a big gamer, but I have played the original HalfLife. Fun game. Fun paint scheme. I'll second that about the pass. side logo being off though.

I've got to say, desert tan is really growing on me. Especially combined with the black...

Thanks!

I know it's a little off, thats what I get for working in the dark and not taking my time.

I'm thinking this for a crowbar http://www.plantfactorygardencenter.com/proddetail.asp?prod=UNION-TOOLS-30634-116333 and paint the center section red.

What do you guys think of adding some industrial looking warnings or yellow/black striped tape to the bottoms of the doors? ( http://findtape-com.amazonwebstore.com/JVCC-HZ8-Hazard-Warning-Tape-1/M/B000QDRRKW.htm?traffic_src=froogle&utm_medium=orga nic&utm_source=froogle )

That stuff might work. You should add some random number on the back somewhere. Most "official" vehicles are numbered.

You should add one of the "Black Mesa Parking Permits" to it too.

What would be awesome if you could find a good HL lambda, and put in on the grille, or above it, inplace of the Jeep logo, which you don't have anyway. I don't mean painted on, I mean like a 3d one, but I doubt anyone makes HL car logos

Well my friend's dad found a brushguard in the scrap metal bin at work, so if I can adapt that to fit I may make and weld a symbol to it. Or maybe just paint it on.

Any ideas for more stencils and their location, or for what number to make it?
