I'm definitely jelly of the pick-and-pull yards in your area. I live within reasonable distance of only two yards and they both have nothing but V8 WJ's and I6 ZJ's.

Yeah if I wasn't trying to keep a budget on this XJ those Waggy 44s would be mine. I still haven't been back there yet, I want to at least get a V8 ZJ tie rod and maybe start gathering some parts for WJ front brakes and ZJ rear disks.

Heard some rattles coming from the rear while driving around today, sadly I knew exactly where to look.

Shackle is hitting the tail pipe. Again.

Now for a technical question-

Ever since I put my lift on I occasionally have this really fast clicking sound coming from under the hood of the Jeep. It only happens when I'm on a hill or accelerating in reverse. I looked around under the hood and I can see where the clutch fan is hitting a coolant hardline. Anyone know why this is happening? It worries me because I don't want it to cut all the way through while I'm in the middle of nowhere and strand me. I might have to start a thread in the Tech section. It REALLY did it this morning while I was backing up my driveway (uphill) to load the wheels in the back of the Jeep. My roommate suggested worn motor mounts, which makes sense to me. Any thoughts?

Pic of where it is hitting, it is kind of hard to see but you get the idea.

Put my MS Paint skills to work. Makes it easier to see what I'm talking about.

Id put my vote on motor mounts, probably along with things being shifted around a bit. Weak motor mounts would explain why it only does it under load. There could be just enough flex in the mounts to allow fan-hardline interference.

Jeeps looking good!!

Yeah this is exactly what my roommate suggested as well. They *look* ok though, and my other Jeep with 40k more miles didn't have this problem. I started a thread in the tech section anyway just to see what other people might think.

And thanks! I see your picture has changed, lifted the new Jeep yet??

General consensus in the tech section is that my motor mounts are indeed shot. Great. Luckily those lines are for the AC and hold refrigerant, so I'm not as worried now because if it does cut all the way through and spray everywhere it won't hurt me because the AC doesn't work like it should anyway. Plus I never use it since the average high during the summer is in the mid 70s in the mountains. Just glad it isn't coolant.

On another topic- I'm going to Uwharrie OHV July 5-6, can't wait!

I'm "done" for now. I've reached my spending limit haha. The only things I'll be adding (planning to add anyway) are new 31s and maybe some rocker skids and a hack 'n tap this fall.

Wheeled it today, it went very well. I need to straighten the front brake hard lines and screw them in place and I have some pretty good rub on the front bumper caps but other than that everything was pretty much perfect.

Front tire will stuff pretty good.
