Of course it's intact. I'm not gonna give you pieces of a pump. Lol. Not sure about wire. Will have to look when I get home. It worked but I'm sure it's the stock one. Would at least be good for a backup

Well the sending unit on my assembly literally rotted off because of all the rust. And post a picture if you can, I know the assembly shape and power connector changed more than once during the lifetime of the XJ. I have a new pump and filter, it's just the pickup tubes and sending unit that I need.

Placed another order at RockAuto today-

Radiator
Radiator cap
Lower hose
Upper hose
Water pump
180* T-stat
Water pump inlet tube
Coolant recovery tank
Both L&R calipers
Pads
Rotors

Still need to get a fuel pump assembly and more rubber fuel line. And I need time to install all of this...

It's so shiny!

Fill tubes, seals, brake lines, filters, etc. Lots to do.

My friend has a pickup assembly that is in good condition that I think will work for me. So once I get that, some more fuel line, and some time, I should have everything I need to button the rear back up and start tearing down the front.

Picked up the pump assembly today. It is from an '87 so it is shaped different, but the power plug is the same and the lock ring looks the same, so I think I can bend it to the shape I need and make it work.

Bought some fuel line today and got to work.

Put the "new" pump assembly in a vice and bent it to match the shape of my old one.

New filter and hose installed on assembly and installed.

Getting these stupid filler and vent hoses in was a pain in the ***.

But it's in!

Turned the key and she fired right up.

Video of it idling. Purrs like a kitten.

Backed it out of the shop, turned it around, and backed it back in. Ready to tear down the front tomorrow.

Ripped the fender flares off.

Hopefully I'll have all this installed tomorrow and we'll be ready to start some fun mods. Maybe.

Looks like your making good progress, I often enjoy watching someone run through and freshen up a rig like this than I do watching mods get done. You can rest easy now knowing your fuel system is tip top. Its a good feeling.

Haha yep, now I'm well underway replacing the entire cooling system.

Pretty sure the old thermostat was stuck closed. And that is also where coolant was leaking out. Got everything off and razerbladed the surface. Whoever installed it last time used a weird combination of paper gasket and RTV. It didn't work.

New hotness.

New water pump on. The old one was perfectly fine but I replaced it anyway while I was in there.

This is about when I realized I didn't have a new thermostat gasket or any gasket maker. So I still have to reassemble everything.

Old coolant. Pretty gross.
