Looking good!! Youve got me beat on progress! Interested in what route you go with suspenion.

Side note, props for finding waggy 44's and being able to find the willpower to walk away.

What OME lift did you get??? Time for moabs and 265s? You getting new rear hangers and brackets??? Spacer lift up front. 231 swap???

Thanks, the suspension will be a true hybrid, I've got a collection of parts from just about every manufacturer.

And yeah I actually have the money for those 44s but I said "WALK AWAY" very forcefully to myself haha. I don't need them for this Jeep. My roommate might be interested in them though.

Interesting! I too have a collection of mismatched lift parts, but I still dont know what I am going to do. The Moabs would look good on there, i can never find a set for sale. Anyhoo, ive got my popcorn ready so on with the show.

Good news! A transmission solenoid is crapping out and the Jeep doesn't shift right when it gets hot. Looks like wheels and tires are going to have to wait.

Those are easy to swap out, took me 20 min tops to swap all 3 of mine.

Yeah I didn't get the OD solenoid, just the A and B so it was $124 or something like that. Crazy expensive for such a small part.

Installed my tow hooks today.



These stupid clip things broke on me so I tried to JB weld them on. One held, the other broke off again so now there are only two bolts on that side. I'll worry about it later, for now it will be ok since I added a huge carriage bolt with the hook brackets.



Done, it is a lot harder to work under this Jeep since it's so short.

My Hellas arrived today, I decided to go with a set of fogs and I got a good deal on some 500s.

Making sure they work.



Wires everywhere.



Drilled a hole for the switch in the stock location.



Covers on



Everything works good, when it gets dark I'll see how much of a difference they make.

Just scored a Crown braided rear brake hose for $20 on ebay, brand new and 22" long which is plenty of extra length for my lift height. So as of now the things I have are:

Tough Country 3.5" coil springs
Old Man Emu 2" medium duty leaf springs
Rough Country 1.5-2" shackles
Skyjacker track bar bracket for 2-4" lifts
Crown Automotive bushings
Tough Country E-Z Ride shocks
Zone Off Road transfer case drop
Black Diamond greasable lower control arms
Crown Auto extended rear stainless braided brake line

The only things I need now besides tires is front brake lines and extended sway bar links. I'm just going to get YJ front brake lines since they are bolt in and 4" longer than stock. For the sway bar links I'd like to have a pair of JKS disco's but we'll see, depends on the money. I'm sure I'll have to get a few extra nuts and bolts but I've pretty much got everything I NEED to lift it.

I guess I could just bend the stock hard lines for the front instead of buying new soft lines and just run without a sway bar in the front like I did with my last XJ. We'll see. And I still have my 1" coil spacer from my last XJ if I need it to level the front out. The parts are coming together!
