I wonder what gears he has in the rear of that xj. Anyone have a guess as to what axles are under it?

Looks like a Rockwell in the rear. Front kind of does cant tell really though.

Those look like 52" Michelins or 47" they make them in both IIRC.

Nice though good fab work to make those axles work if its done right.

Wow.. I see lift blocks on the XJ!! Combined with the portal axles it must have some major axle wrap

Yeah, all that time and money to put that drivetrain under it, and he cheaps out on the lift.

Dont look like Rockwells to me. I know a guy thats friend with the owner. Used to have 39s so theyre bigger than that now. Ill ask him what axles its got and stuff.

they're def. not rockwells on that xj. they are portal axles. and i'm not up to speed on all of the types, but i think they're some old unimog or volvo portals.

They are 406s from a Unimog. Tires are 52" Michelin XZLs.

Nice find broncofire. Did you see it in person or just find the pics somewhere? It would look bad*** if it had a good body.

I was underneath the thing looking at it, and I believe they are from a 'mog.

well used for sure, flopped on one side at least, and the back right door welded shut.
