ok. so im having issues with my linkage. when i go to put it in low the upper part that moves hits the bracket. and every other XJ ive seen the linkage was at a 90* angel. mine seems to be bent or something. ive found some say the x-member could be in backwards and that could cause it but to me the holes in the x-member seem centered so that seems like it wouldnt change anything to me?? i have a rebuild kit for it but that isnt going to solve how the angle is off. any input. i pulled the bracket and tried to bend it some but that didnt help. im wondering if when i got my SYE installed they maybe bent it? thoughts?
my buddy helped me mount them up and took em to wallyworld and spent $26 and got me lifetime balancing haha they def gonna loose money on that haha
they are so quiet on the road!!!!
trimmed the front some
cant see in any pics but i trimmed the back of the fender at the bottom about 3" back so they dont rub when turning. now i just need to bump stop and fix my linkage and ill be set to wheel!!!
Might be a bad tranny mount causing your linkage issue. I know when mine went bad i went wheeling and the whole shaft of the linkage popped out of that bracket because the tranny mount wasnt holding the drivertrain in place.
Tranny shifted sideways when i was off camber and the linkage popped out. That sucked, lol.
Thanks guys im really happy with them. There 33x12.5x15 on 15x8 with 3.75" bs.
Im not sure how much I wanna trim but im def going to bump stop it. They rub haha.
The black is the fender lining I didn't cut it cause it offers minor coverage so if popo bust me. but as of now they dont rub when I turn and minor flex. This week ill get it set up better. im just so happy to have those Ford wheels gone! And for the wheel weights I have just as many inside. Im going to look into the balancing powder stuff.
