That would be my guess. Or maybe something to help avoid the carpet from vibrating and in a way rubbing paint off? Idk haha I'm sure someone will know.

its heat deflection. there is a piece over the CAT, over the trans, and the bend in the exhaust.

I covered my passenger floor in this to knock down the heat from my transmission raise

Hey so I need to replace my alt. Ive heard grand Cherokee alts are higher out put. What year grand Cherokee works best? I'd imagine like 97-99, zj? With 4.0 obviously. Just wanna make sure it will bolt right in.

I did a 136amp that was an option in 97-98 grand cherokees. It will bolt right in and thats what I did initially but one of the bolts will not line up. When I had some time I then went back and ground down the mounting bracket to make that last bolt lign up.

Ill have to look into that. I wish there was just a HO one that will just bolt right in.

Sure theres those stupid expensive mean green ones.... its not bad to grind the bracket, took maybe 1 hour pulling it/ grinding/ installing.
