Haha anyways got red jeep running again!! Put in another cps. Nothing. Started checking connections and found some corrosion so cleaned that up than check the ECU the 3 connectors were all corroded and the one is missing a prong? But once I cleaned the real good the jeep fired right up!!! Started it probably 50x today just to make sure haha
Gonna put in the steering tomorrow and I'll be set for now lol
NSS put your jeep through the gears a couple times and give it a go this happened to me once when mine sat up.
Been there done that lol plus I have reverse lights. I think its the ecu and the one plug closest to the front. It was so corroded that one prong male side on ecu fell off which is never good lol gonna try another ecu and plug. Also got a Napa cps. Before the advanced one wouldn't move the fuel/volts and didn't have high ohms when I checked it. Napa one has higher ohms and volts work on dash so that is no longer a possible factor. It was to be the ecu cause the aux fan kicks on telling me the comp isn't working properly cause it doesn't know whats going on so the fan comes on just in case. I can get its a connection issue also because the fan sometimes will surge and stumple like a bad ground or something. IE bad computer connection somewhere.
I only have this one on my phone, its from the first day he brought it home. I'll try to get more pics soon.
So red jeep is still dead. It will fire at random times. The aux fan still kicks on when the key is 'on' but surges. If the fan is not on the jeep will fire? So I'm guessing it is a connection issue somewhere. I have tried 3 new cps and still no difference. I tried another ecu today and still no difference. I do get no bus sometimes but its randomly. The cluster sometimes does show fuel/volts other times it doesn't. When the jeep does fire it runs 110%. I just sprayed all the connectors I could get to with contact cleaner so maybe that is an issue. I don't see any wires that look unusual.
Does anyone have any ideas?! I'm stumped... and annoyed.. lol
