Jeeps been having some weird vibrations over 2500rpm. Thought it was the exhaust, well driving down the highway at 70mph I found out what it was when my mechanical fan blew apart. Thankfully it didn't get my rad.
Pulled over and pulled it off and drove 2 hours with the fan. Thankfully it was low 70s so the jeep didn't get hot. The power/mpg without the fan was much improved so I ran to a local JY and grabbed me some Taurus fans, unfortunately they only had '99+ Taurus' there so I figured it still better than nothing. Got both for $10 with wires! Lol couldn't say no! Wired the one fan in, I just ran power from batt, 30a fuse into a 30a switch and did it plain and simple for now since I needed the jeep running ASAP. Jeep runs a little warmer than it did with the mechanical fan but the power is 10x better. There are 3 wires coming off the motor and only found out this morning that its 1 power and 2 ground for hi/low. So I'll less with it later today. If I can get it to run on High hopefully that'll cool it more. Also need to rig a shroud up that will help more also. But for now it's drivable, now just to fix the ****ting steering!
How hard was the door mod with your 2000? Any tricks? Are you running power doors?
It was easy. Air hammer the pins in half, knock em out doors come off lol I have full power everything. We cut the hinges to make em like a wrangler. I just lift and drop. Passenger side has a little sag but it did before I did this. I'm gonna get some bushings and should solve the problem.
