Best and Cheapest way to lift

I plan on doing a bastard pack with s10 leafs in the rear and Yj coils+ 2 inch spacer in the front...but i want to know what i can avoid replacing as far as drop pittman arms, sway bar discos, etc. because i am going to have a very small budget.

YOu wont need a new pitman arm for 4" or less of lift, sway bars should just be thrown out. Brake lines will be ok.

YJ Coils may be hard to come by...

You dont really need much anything extra at around 3" lift except a transfer case drop if you get bad driveline vibes.

This^

Don't half *** it. I did and regretted it. But if you want to do it cheap, then get S10 leafs for a bastard pack and buy some aftermarket coils. That is the cheapest and best quality put together then you can get. No pit man arm is needed, I still have my stock one on 7"of lift. For 3"all you need are coils, leafs and shocks. Sway bar links are not needed but would be nice. No brake lines either.

+1. While other mods may not show instant "coolness" an actual lift is down my list of things a stock XJ needs. If you're really stuck on a lift just get 2" pucks for the front and add-a- leafs or shackles for the rear a wait till you have more money for a decent, higher lift. Think tires, bumpers, skids & rearend upgrade before big lift.

Yep, you'll end up redoing it all over again. Ask me how I know

The cheapest is not the best way.
