Anyone have a Shelf-It?

I am looking for install pics of the "Shelf-It" overhead storage shelf in XJs. I plan to install a couple radios up there but want to make sure it's something I'll like. Anyone?

Do they make one? I have one in my full size Bronco, but I think I'd hit my head on it gettin into the Jeep. If you've got the ceiling console it wouldn't fit, anyway. I'd like to see one, too.

Here are a few pictures I just got last night of one in a 99 XJ-

Someone will probably have to make these "no click."

Not only is this good for ham rigs, CBs, or public safety rigs, but you can also install your off-road light switch box, winch control, maps, GPS, etc up there. Leaves more room down low so you can concentrate on your driving.

Here's a link to the product-

Cool! That should compensate for the lack of storage places in the XJ

Definetely. It doesn't give you a WHOLE bunch of room, but it is some to have without hitting your head!

I would love to have my CB up there. Don't think it would work with the console, though. I think moving the sun visors with lighted mirror wiring might also be a hassle. Kadetklapp, did you used to have a console? It sort of looks like there used to be one there from the ceiling marks. I've got my ARB switches there so it would really suck to remove it. I wonder how difficult it might be to custom fab something similar with a cut-out for the console?

It's not my Jeep. This install was done by a fellow ham guy. I would assume it's possible to split the shelf for the overhead console. Just support the insides by running screws into the holes left by the visor clip.
