Anyone ever noticed there is no place for you left foot?

Well i have a Automatic 2dr 1991 Jeep Cherokee and it has kind of been bugging me there is no place for my left foot. In all other auto cars I have driven there is a raised part about as far out as the brake to rest your foot on since it does nothing. In my cherokee there is nothing just an floor equal in protrusion and the seat position it is in for the brake and gas pedals to be comfortable for me leaves me not reaching all the way to the firewall with my left foot and it gets uncomfortable. What do you guys do about this/have you noticed it?

x2 on the manual..i guess ive never really noticed it. after i shift and take my foot off the clutch, i think i put my foot on the floor half behind the clutch pedal. like i said, i guess i never really put much thought into it. ill be sure to take notice tomorrow on the drive to school and back.

never noticed it myself, but it does seem like there isn't enough room beside the gas pedal, I always drag the center console carpet when I'm in a hurry lol..probably just my size 14 waffle stompers though

HAHA that bugged the hell out of me in my 05 Manual TJ, I was going to fabricate a foot rest actually.
but I got used to it after a few months, didnt think I would, but I did.
Doesnt even bother me offroading anymore.

I know, I do like manuals I just couldn't pass up the 75,000 miles on the 1991 i bought. Oh well.

FYI I don't have the time or money for a swap although I did look into it.

My wife's old civic ('97) had a nice plastic foot rest that could probably be modified to fit almost any car. I'm sure they could be found at JY's. Her's was a manual to boot.

my 95 has a little raised pad to the left side of the brake (mines an auto) that I can rest my clod-hoppers, but I usually keep it close to the seat.

X2 on getting a manual if it is that uncomfortable. Either that, or go doorless, and hang your foot out the door- that is what I did with my previous jeep, a YJ.

Go doorless, then you can put your foot on the edge where the rocker and a-pillar meet like Wranglers do.

Find a roadkill armadillo that's not to flat and use it as a foot rest
