Holy mother of God Im glad you brought this up. Best I can tell our bumper designs are similar, and that area hangs below my bumper, real damn eye sore.

Im not sure how structural it is, but it does appear to be several layers of overlapping sheetmetal. I intend to cut mine at the same angle as my bumper unless someone here has a compelling argument to talk me out of it.

That's why I want to cut it out, dudeski. Will I have to be the first to cut it out and compromise my POS to folding like a taco?

My best friends 99. They had to cut and fold to fit that bumper on.

That area does have the lower hold-down for the tail lights.

Ya, left mine in when I did the tuck & fold. It really looks structural to me. If you're running any type of bumper it'll probably cover that up.

Haven't had time to work on it this week, dick! I'll cut it out when I work on it next. If my trash Jeep folds in half, oh well.

hey guys,
I have the 99 that uberxj posted the pic of. I have the or-fab rear bumper with the cut and fold quarters. Here's the link to the pdf instructions that show where to mark and cut at. Hope this helps. http://www.orfab.com/instructions/83245.pdf.
