My oldest bought one just like it on Craigs for $2,500 for his wife. Color and everything.

if it was close i would look at it. I think $2500 cash would buy it. If that is all the rust it's rust free. Look under and on the rocker panels, 99 was the best year. Reading you last post you had better look under real good.

looks okay, but if it came from IL be weary of the rust belt up there. the rust on the roof is an indicator of potential problems. check the bottom insides of the doors.

Doesn't look that bad if you get it for a good deal, did they tell you how the damage occurred?

no i sent an email yesterday asking what was wrong with the brakes. she sent me an email at 8am this morning. she gave me here phone number, so ive been trying to call her all day but there wasnt an answer. so i sent her an email back and hopefully she'll reply in the morning. but looks like she either backed into something or someone hit the rear corner.

haha no doubt. i had to scrape my windows with a razor blade after the dealer put clear box tape on mine before i got it. now getting it off the paint is ganna be a *****.

as it looks right now, because ill have to fix the brake line to drive it home, ill start at 2500. but 3k is still a good deal. expecally if i can find the same color hatch at the jy or ebay.

Yeah, what about test drive though? Also it is a very interestingly optioned XJ, it has an full overhead console but no fog lights......
