AIC's BFG - Build thread

I name all my vehicles from their licence plates, something I picked up from my gradma... anyways, my Licence plate on my 89 XJ is BFG-#### so its simply going to be called the BFG.

Details:
89 Cherokee
Bought end of april 2014 for $500 - not running

Came with:
stock rims/tires
2" budget lift
and A LOT of work a head of me.

Day I brought it home:

More to come as I have time, just wanted to have an actual build thread that is limited to updates and not to questions about how to fix stuff...

Back on topic:

First things that happened to it when I got it home was fresh spark plugs, wires, distributor, fluid changes. It was driving now, but poorly. Being the stubborn person I was I still drove it around just because, and it broke down on me after my first wheeling trip!

Ended up needing a new catalytic converter. Fixed a lot of the problems it was having, but there is a whole host more.

Week after the trip did my first mod, Tires!

Where is that?

I see you're a student in genetics, my grandpa was a geneticist. I was just given some pins he received when he traveled to china and russia in the 70's and 80's lecturing. Alan C. Bartlett.

looks good love the color! that could really cool with some nice TRIM painting and different rims if selected right will look BADASS, keep up the good work, and you can honestly probably piece together a cheaper kit than that one you posted.

I won that kit in the contest they ran earlier this month. Not sure how I could piece together a similar kit any other way than free...
