Bit of an update: nothing new added or done to the Xj just planning some mods to do when i get home for the summer. Il lbe doing a 3" leaf pack and 3" coils from Rustys. Ill also be swapping in a Ford 8.8for its longer yoke which will put the slip yoke on the trans in the correct location. Im worried about the driveshaft coming out with the 3" lift and extra 2" shackles. The 8.8 will take care of these problems. Will also start work on rock sliders and eventually a rear bumper along with bedlining the interior.

the bumper reminds me of the shape of a grand wagoners front end in a way. keep up the nice work i would get a good pipe and bend it http://logansmetals4x4.com/sitebuild...g.w560h328.jpg
something like that its pretty simple and looks good. great job so far though

well since i don't plan on plowing over any concrete walls with my jeep im sure you will win.

but is that really the purpose of a front bumper.....i'll answer that for you and say no.

strength is a factor, but winch location, approach angle, and the way the bumper meets the body lines are much bigger factors.

now with that said.....lets go wheeling, come up to an obstacle such as a rock garden, and see who's tires don't get eaten up by the front bumper, and who's bumper doesn't act like a rock magnet.

like i said.....melt it.

Since i dont do any wheeling in rock gardens my bumper suits me perfectly. The ARB bumper available sticks out just as far as mine.

Build your bumper how you want and Ill keep mine that suits my wheeling and tastes.

no need for that. your'e obviously new here. I hate his bumper, but never called him an moron. for making it.

just because he built it makes it better?!? where is the logic in that?

I've seen people build roof racks out of 2x4's and post them here, but i didn't bow to them just because they "made it".

I can have my opinion and you can have yours, but the reality is that if the ever runs larger tires, that bumper will have to go, or be trimmed. THAT is a fact.

its cool to be able to use you XJ as a bulldozer on the weekends, but when it comes to flex I personally think it will limit you.

not being an *******, just giving my .02
