In fact I do own a jeep.

quit being so butthurt over nothing, were all having fun here, and providing constructive criticism along the way.

I'm anxious to see the results of this build thread, and will stay subscribed until then.

actually ive seen a plethora of jeeps pretty much modded to max and the highest ive heard spent on reasonable mods that are not expensive brands is 11k. so you sir stand corrected. i also just looked up pro-rock 60's and the highest i saw were only 1500.

Deal. Sorry if I missed it in the thread, but at this point, what are your list of future plans for the Jeep?

So today started the lift install. Was able to get all the old stuff out and the front end totally finished axcept for the discos. Im having trouble with the rear leaf centering pin fit into the spring perch on the axle. Any body have anyhints. I managed to snap two bolts on the rear shocks but drilled it out and tapped a hole for a 5/16 bolt. Here are some pictures of the progress. Has anybody used the Rustys(or other brand) rear brake line relocation bracket with success?? Im afraid to break the line when it gets relocated. The front spring bolts were seized to the metal sleeve so I cut the srpings off and used an air chisel to seperate the sleeve and turn the bolt out. SOme pictures of how I cut the springs off, front installed and rear taken apart.

Did you not soak anything with pb blaster? Or even spray some on before starting?

I had to cut one of my leaf springs off, too. Glad I'm not the only one.

1999 XJ - Finally on respectable tires.
1998 ZJ - I'll show you my Niner if you show me yours.

Everything was sprayed with PB blaster numerous times. I tried test fitting the new leafs in but the centering pin is slightly to big to fit in the spring perch. Does anybody have any solutions to this?

Was able to file the centering pin down to the right size. Got everything installed and its AWESOME. no more feelin like a grocery getter. The rear shackle angle could be a little better but I'll see how it is after everything settles a bit. SOme pics of the final work and how its sitting. Im kinda likeing the back end a bit higher. Right now the back fender fair is siting 36" from ground IIRC. Iv gotten up to 65mph and not had any vibrations which is great. And final pic of the jeep family in the field(minus the CJ2A)
