I have a Pioneer DEH P4800 in my 2000 Cherokee and a older Pioneer in my 89 Both radios perform extremely well.
Usually Pioneer, although somewhat more expensive, makes some pretty high quality stuff. That being said, I have a DEH P4900 in mine that replaced the old pioneer only because the previous radio did not have a rear channell RCA out. I would say....
You truly can't go wrong with pioneer, also Infinity Kappa series component speaker rock
HEY, want an XJ overhead console? CLICK ME
+1 I also have pioneer. p3900mp in the jeep... I didnt need anything expensive, just something that had rca outs and ipod compatibility. I have a Pioneer avh-p4000dvd in my subie and absolutely LOVE it. you can't beat it for the price. +1 on infinity too. I'm adding infinity reference components in the subie when I get some free cash
ive got the same one for my "Bass car", and the lowest of the line pioneer in the jeep..both work great.
Alpine makes the best head units in my opinion but they are a bit pricey, you get more functions and options from a pioneer for the same price as an alpine but a little less sound quality.
But they are both great brands and you cant go wrong with any of em
Yeah, thats what I hear. I used to use Kenwood, but the motorized faces kept breaking, so I stopped buying them. I got a very nice Alpine HU used for my mustang and I loved it, so I bought a cheaper one for the Jeep. I just wanted to plug in the ipod and this one came with the free cable.
