1 k for moabs and decent oversize tires isnt that outrageous. I paid 850 for 4 tires alone

That is outrageous. The 245/75/16 mt/r isn't a good tire. Load E, small size= terrible ride.
A used set of moabs and mtrs are worth MAYBE 500.

nice color... I think that we are a very limited few. I don't see too many of them. Also like the moabs, just hate the OEM backspacing. Your Jeep is almost to clean to wheel.

It is a purdy colour. Took me a few weeks to get used to it, but I love it now.

Outrageous yes, but it depends on the region/economy. I paid 750 for my old MTRs and black moabs, and they were a 3 hr drive away. They only had 30% tread on the front, maybe 50% tread on the back. But after 12 months of looking for Moabs, they were the best deal I could find within a 400 km radius.

Won't disagree with you there on the ride quality.

Thanks guys. The backspacing is fine on this size tire. I don't rub at all. And the Mtrs don't ride that bad in my opinion. They are not exactly quiet but they're not much louder than the duratracs my buddy has. I have yet to take it off the pavement with the new shoes so I can't say how they perform in that aspect. I run these tires at a pretty low psi...around 30 so maybe that helps the ride a little bit?

Thats not low, thats barely low for stock sized tires, that probably high for the tires you have. When you increase the tire size you decrease the necessary pressure to support the same weight.

Well I dont know much about how 16's ride but if I went into my tire shop and asked them to take some off because they ride like crap they would kick me out. Just moabs go for 350 around here. And 245s are small so it would be a little cheaper used. I actually see um go for close to that for take offs though

Great looking XJ. Love the wheel/tire choice with the color.

Thanks everyone!

I lowered the tire psi to 25 yesterday. We'll see how much of a difference that makes as they wear. I plan on rotating them every oil change.

I honestly couldn't be happier with how she looks. Now I gotta see what she can do off the pavement
