99 XJ Weekend Wheeler Build

The Day I brought Home the well broken in XJ. It had been neglected of Maintenance and needed some work. I got it at a good price of $3,200. It had a 5 inch hodge podge of BDS lift, Bald 32's,and Rhino Lined Rockers.

3.55 gears Hp30 and the Dana Turdy 5 which held up to quite the abuse.

First Mod I did was get some extra factory roof rack bars and made a Spare Tire Carrier out of an old worn out wheel bearing that I seperated and some flat stock & I came up with this....

XJ 35's locked Gas Tank in the Trunk Shox Hoops in the rear.

Did some side work and picked up a COBRA 29 LTD in Exchange. Went back to the previous owner and picked up his K40 fiberglass and reinstalled it where he had it. The 29 LTD has by far been one of the best radios that I've used on trail...

Well went to the PA ALL BREEDS JEEPS SHOW in 09 with a Hp 30 and D44 sittin at the House waiting 2 be abused. I had bought them prior to going for 700 beans and they were geared 456 and the rear had an Aussie. So I took the XJ 2 PA 4 its actual last trip on rox with the 355 d35 setup.Slapped on some donated BFG AT's and took off the roof rack for the over rated aerodynamics.

Found a good deal on a Kargo master with some roof rack mounts. Used the Roof Rack mounts for a while then Upgraded to Gutter Mounts. I fabbed up the spare tire carrier out of the Kargo master brackets and of course another used wheel bearing hub... Light Mounts and The Hi Lift mount were included.

Not very good pix but ya get the idea

Just a lil flex.........

Big Boys is nothing but mud and very tight trails. If you don't mind tearing your heep up its great! GWNF is your best bet in the Harrisonburg area. The trails are just fire trails but there are a few fun spots along the way.
