97+ 4 Switch Bezel

Hey guys I have been looking all over ebay, jeep4x4, craigslist, etc for the 4 switch bezel shown here.

4-Switch Bezel - 4897505AE.

Note that these numbers are for '97 and up OBD-II only.

Older OBD-I Cherokees use the switch and panel in the second picture.

.
If someone could point me to a website that actually has one of these in stock, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks all.

There arent any. Junkyard is the only option. The last time I saw a place that had new old stock they were selling for $120.

Or...find someone that has one, have them 3D scan it (or send it to me so I can do so--I'd send it right back), and upload it to a 3D printing company like shapeways so the rest of us can get one, too.

There's a guy on Cherokee Forum selling stock style switches that fit those slots. Wouldn't be that hard to make something to go there for them to fit into.

See that was the same idea that I had because I have 2 3D printers in my classroom. I just need the model to scan.

Couldn't you just 3d scan a 3 switch, and edit the blow out. Maybe even make one with 6 switches if you change the spacing of stuff around.

Either way.

If someone makes the model available I'll buy one. I could make time to scan one, but not to edit one and be confident it would last more than a month.

If someone scans a 3 switch and sends me the files I can edit and it and adjust it accordingly, maybe even make more than 4 switches. Just need to make sure you take your stock switches out when you scan it.

Do you have a file format preference?

Judging by the spacing 6 switches is probably completely do-able if you get rid of the cigarette lighter and keep the power outlet.

Anything solidworks can read, I think *.xyz, *.wrl, *.stl, *.3ds, *.obj

I think you're probably right about fitting 6 in there:

I like where this is going. .stl is very universal for most 3d printers so maybe that would be the best bet. Would the switches still be able to clip in when the bezel is redesigned?

They should be able to, all you'd have to do is mimic how the other ones are designed/scanned in.
