why classic? i dono what a classic is, as i recall theirs only one type of cherokee.

Classic is the trim level. Kinda like sport, se, leredo, limited, etc.

x2 heres a pic i found of a '97 classic. They usually have grey wheels and body color bumpers and end caps. The OP's would be an older body style though. This guy should try listing it in the classifieds.
