FWIW- those who have gone to allen head cap screws, use a 5/16 bit in reverse, makes it easy.

I cut the eyelets off me 28mm bar and then sliced out 1/4" of the bar the length of the plate, then made up plates that I welded to the ends to allow me to use the longer ZJ links.

Much more quiet and responsive. Worth doing.

Restoring my headliner.


You'll want to fiberglass the damage areas before you remove the headliner material.


Sealed the interior side with sealer.


Glassed the center for strength.


And anywhere there was a crack.


Not perfect but much better than it was.

Good job on the headliner! Mine wasn't fiberglass or I would have done the same thing. It was a nasty foam.

Yes, I glassed over the foam/fiber board.
