Don't worry about jacking my thread.... it's fine by me

NO!!! The oil pressue doesn't seem to be as bad as it was, but the issue is still there. It's only a problem when I'm sitting still at idle after the HEEP is fully warmed up, so when I pull up to stop lights I just hold the gas down a bit to keep it around 1000 rpms and it's ok. I know that's ghetto, but it'll have to do for now

Sorry.... nothing done to it lately. Hang on until Saturday and I'll have the lift pics from this Friday posted. Then I'll decide if I want to keep the fenders or not and either take them off or FINALLY paint the passenger's side and the bumpers. Oh.... I could throw the roof rack on tomorrow and snap a pic or two if it will help feed the pic fiends until the lift pics. How does that sound?

Oh, and I'm STILL waiting for my infinity speakers to be shipped by dealercostcaraudio.com UPS still says "billing info received". It has now been 18 stinkin days since I ordered them. I will NEVER use those guys again....even though the customer care guy has been in contact with me and answered all of my emails. I'm pushing to get a discount and he said he'll hook me up, but I'll believe it when I see it.

try running some lucas oil stabilizer with the oil and see if that helps your oil pressure issue.

I like your thread...i'm gonna be doing the same here in a few months...but i might splurge and spend around a 1000...

Well....with the $$ i've thrown into it I'll be at around $2300 after the lift.

I ran lucas in it after the first oil change and it didn't make a difference. I put in engine restore with this oil change and ran with 20w50 to see if it would help and still no dice, but it does seem a bit better. I think I'm going to go with straight 40w oil with the next change and no additives after I give it a seafoam treatment like the guy at the JY told me to do.

the bearings are probabaly bad, my 4.2 has over 60 lbs on start up, less than 10 when its fully warmed up. I dont care, if it blows it blows, I ran some lucus in it. I dont think seafoam is going to do anything for your oil pressure besides create leaks.

its one of 3 things, either your pump is dieing, your bearings are junk, or there is **** in the oil pickup which is not very likely.

I dont remember your issue exactly, but those 3 will cause lower oil pressure.

Mine will be like that too...im thinkig 4.5 inch lift,33s,armor and a locker

i know in my truck the lucas took care of the oil pressure prob, but like the bandit said it's prolly one of those 3 things.

And i wouldn't seafoam it...prolly will open up some leaks.

I actually threw a little sea foam in it when I first got it. Put some in the tank and in the oil. I just didn't put any in the throttle body. Shortly after that I changed the oil and went with mobile 1 10w30 along with the lucas treatment. After doing all of that is when the oil pressure issue started. That's why I was HOPING that I just knocked some ****e loose and there IS crap in my oil pickup :dunno I just hope it isn't the bearings
