It's just not where the market is. All those soccer mom's want big suvs that are curvey and look good and they are the one buying the suvs.

yes they really need to make a cheap version new XJ: rubber or bed lined floors... cloth seats... cheap body parts... and SQUARE AS CAN BE! one that people can afford to buy brand new and actually take it off road! but that wont happen I guess we all just stay in our ORIGINAL XJ's and just drive the ish out of em... that is all.

You will never see another XJ Cherokee or anything similar to it. Federal safety and emissions standards make it impossible, especially with CAFE standards. Plus, they're not realistically going to cater to a niche market with anything other than the Wrangler anymore. I'd rather see them do a full size Jeep pickup based on the RAM 2500 platform personally.

But, given the JK8 packages strong sales, I wouldn't be surprised to see a Wrangler based pickup when they redo it next year.

I miss when Jeep only offered 3 models... and **** like that wasnt one of them.
