2001 Cherokee Replacement Seat- Grey Interior

Good Evening,

Would any of you know where I can find a replacement driver's seat? My current one is broken and I can't seem to find a stock replacement. Any suggestions?

Thanks

ZJ seat

I bet if ya find a replacement it'll be expensive .
Start looking into your local upholstery specialists and find out if they have done any welding on these seats before and get feedback from people who have had thiers fixed .
Since I do upholstery I have worked on tons of XJ/ZJ seats they simply come apart at the welds and can be welded back together, BUTT.........
not all upholstery shops have good welders or can weld good and taking the seats out needs to be done by an experienced upholsterer , there are
airbag-lights that will turn on if not done correctly. those cost about $100 or more to get reset by the factory. Also if they weld it with the cover/foams on it'll burn holes in it wich looks crappy.
Pm me if ya have any questions I'll be happy to help.

Go to a junk yard.

Craigslist

Ebay

Forum Classifieds

Quadratec

Summit

etc.

Thanks guys,

I probably just have to go to a junk yard near me and find one off of another XJ. They don't seem to have the exact same seat anywhere on the internet. I'd probably want to get a whole replacement because the back part of the seat is leaning towards the right.

The trick is to get what is the pasenger seat from a RHD model. The only problem is if your trim is different to anything that was exported.

Try www.dorsetjeep.co.uk - he's used to this sort of request, as, apparently "our" cloth seats are popular in the U.S.

I thought ZJ and WJ seats fit with the brackets.

I installed a leather passenger seat from a 1995 LHD into my 1996 RHD and had to use my brackets to fit properly.

Yeah my driver seat was the same way.

Went to the JunkYard... walked around for a little bit till I found one with a little rip. Bought it and sew the rip back together.. cost me like $25 with the track and seat.

Find some big comfy couch cushion seats out of a zj and swap them in all you have to do is swap the seat brackets and zj seats are very comfy.

Thanks for all the replies. I just decided to get new aftermarket seats for it. None of the salvage jeeps around Houston have any good seats.

It turns out that the seat I got was not the right size. Does anybody have any suggestions for reclinable, adjustable head seats?

before i put my power leather seats in i actually swapped in a "passenger" seat from a RHD mail truck xj. since the seat had probably never got sat in (there was a mail tray table over it) it was like brandy new.
