What was the last year for the 2 door XJ? I can't seem to find any later model 2 doors for sale.

i think all years were available in 2-door. but 97+ are pretty scarce.

Completely stock, and keeping it that way...

I wouldn't say that ALL 97+ two-doors are scarce. I see them all the time.
But I do think that a 2000-01 two-door would be hard to find.

I hated that my last xj was a two door. It was incredibly impractical.

i ahve never seen a 2001 2dr, but the 4wd 2drs are hard to find, and usually fetch a pretty penny in good shape low miles, mine was mint condition, 4.0, aw4,np231, 4x4, walked out paying 6700.with 43000 miles.

i definitley need to take off the doors, wonder if thats illegal?

If you carry backseat passengers, then yes, it is impractical.

I ditched my entire rear seat. So everything from the front seats back is cargo area. In my case, it is very practical.

well, guess mines excluded. i payed $3200 before taxes and licensing and i had the carfax (dont know why they call it that since its a jeep) since it was bought and it was babied. mines got just under 205,000 miles on it and runs and drives like new besides the oil pressure being a little low (30psi which isnt really low...)

either way, i dont like carrying more than one passenger anyways since trying to talk to someone in the back gets annoying having to turn around because they cant hear you.

i acutally was putting the doors back on two days ago when a cop pulled up. turned out my neighbors reported me for having no rear bumper..yeah, they did. anywho, the cop did mention that having the doors off is legal since other jeeps can do it and i was putting my doors back on so the mirrors were off. i showed him the mirror brackets i built and he was impressed that i (a teen) put that much effort into keeping it legal (not that much effort but whatever).

heres what they look like

Lame neighbors dude.

Yea, I've seen a few 2 doors in California, and fyi, don't look for a classic or limited 2 door, you won't.

haha

I work on Mopars
