I finally got my lift and tires. I got a 3.5 inch RE Super Ride Kit with OME Shocks. As for tires, I bought a set of Moabs with so-so tires for $275 and a new set of 245/74/R16 Maxxis Bighorns. I'll be putting the lift on in a few hours so wish me luck. I'll post pics when done.

Hit some snags with the lift. I got the front end all together and it looks sweet . The rear end is another story. I broke all four upper shock mount bolts and everything is looking like it's gonna break off. The hardware is so rusty on this thing. Is there any advice you guys can give me as to what to do about the upper shock mounts? I was just gonna drill and tap them but if there's a trick I'll change my plan.

Upon more research, I'm going to use the air chisel method described here http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/s...-heavy-323809/

I own a 97 and 98, both are 5 speed. 97 is 2WD and 98 is Power everything and 4wd. The 1997 is going to the junkyard soon. I'm thinking of parting it out if anyone wants to PM me for interest purposes. Not sure what i really want to do yet so please don't PM me until I post a thread stating I will part it out.

Finished the lift!!! It tested my patience for sure. Every bolt relating to the suspension was rusted up solid. I had a hell of time finding new hardware as well. RE really needs to include new hardware with their kits. I'm getting the new tires mounted today. I can't wait

I thought it would be standard to give you new bolts with a lift kick, the blows. Did you go with Stainless Steel bolts?

cool I got my 89 for $1500. no rust anywhere I looked hard. I do like the "newer" styling a bit more, but I like the early interior better!

Good luck!
